Skematic NYC — Full-Stack Infrastructure & Solutions

Full-stack engineering.

One team, one mental model. We architect, build, deploy, and operate web and commerce systems end-to-end — no handoff seams between frontend, backend, and infrastructure.

Sheet 01 · Overview

One team owns the stack.

Full-stack development at Skematic NYC means the same engineers shape the architecture, write the API, render the UI, deploy the system, and watch the dashboards after launch.

We avoid the agency anti-pattern of throwing requirements across a frontend/backend wall. The result is fewer integration surprises, tighter performance budgets, and code you can actually maintain — written by people who know what every layer is doing.

Engagements ship as Nuxt 3 or Remix applications backed by Node.js services, PostgreSQL or Firebase, and DigitalOcean or edge infrastructure — chosen per brief, not per fashion.

System Architecture

Domain modeling, data architecture, API contracts, and deployment topology — documented before a line of UI ships.

Frontend Engineering

Nuxt 3, Vue 3, Remix, and React. SSR, edge rendering, accessibility, and performance baked into the component layer.

API & Backend Services

Node.js services, REST and GraphQL, background jobs, queue processing, webhooks, and middleware that quietly does its job.

Database & Data Layer

PostgreSQL with Prisma, Firebase for realtime needs, schema migrations, indexing strategy, and read-replica planning when traffic demands it.

Sheet 03 · Process

How we ship.

  1. Phase 01

    Discovery & architecture

We interview stakeholders, audit existing systems, and produce a written architecture brief: data model, API surface, deployment plan, risks.

  2. Phase 02

    Milestone build

Vertical slices delivered every 1-2 weeks against the brief. Feature flags for in-progress work. Staging environment from day one.

  3. Phase 03

    Launch & cutover

Performance budget verified, monitoring wired, DNS and SSL planned, rollback path documented before we flip the switch.

  4. Phase 04

    Operate & evolve

Retained support, observability reviews, and roadmap iteration. The team that built it is the team that keeps it shipping.

Sheet 05 · FAQ

Questions, answered.

What does full-stack development mean at Skematic NYC?

We own the build end-to-end — architecture, frontend, APIs, databases, deployment, observability, and post-launch operations. One team, one mental model, no handoff seams between disciplines.

Which frameworks do you build with?

Production stacks include Nuxt 3, Vue 3, Remix, React, and Node.js services. We pick the right tool per engagement; we do not force a single stack onto every problem.

How do you handle scalability from day one?

Architecture-first. We model the data, the caching layer, and the deployment topology before writing UI code, so the system can grow into Shopify Plus volumes, multi-region traffic, or eight-figure GMV without a rewrite.

Can you integrate with our existing stack?

Yes — we routinely plug into Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Algolia, Firebase, Notion, and bespoke internal systems via REST, GraphQL, and webhooks.

What does a typical engagement look like?

Discovery (1-2 weeks) → architecture brief → milestone build (6-16 weeks typical) → launch → retained support. Every engagement is scoped to a written brief with deliverables, not hourly drip.
